A Ring Box Worth Keeping
Let’s be honest: most ring boxes are made to look good once, then spend the rest of their lives forgotten in a drawer. They’re too small, too flimsy, and nearly all of them can’t even fit a 6 or 8 mm wide ring properly.
That’s why the Parabox was born — named after the Hungarian word for cork, parafa.
This ring box is made from solid cork, handcrafted in Hungary by a couple who usually create wine-related pieces. The material will eventually come from recycled wine corks (this project needs some more time), giving every box a little character and a story of its own.
But what makes cork so great?
It’s harvested from the bark of cork oak trees, mostly in Portugal, without cutting down the tree — just carefully peeling the outer layer every 9–12 years. That makes cork one of the most sustainable and renewable materials out there. It’s also naturally lightweight, durable, water-resistant, and just nice to touch.
Inside, a removable foam insert securely holds one or two rings — even wider bands. Once the big day is over, you can take out the foam and reuse the box for whatever you want: earrings, keepsakes, or everyday treasures.
And yes, the Parabox is laser engravable. Most couples go for names and a date, but you can personalize it with a quote, initials, coordinates, or something entirely your own.
This isn’t just a ring box. It’s part of your story — and one you can keep using long after the wedding.
