Frequently Asked Questions
The rings
Each ring combines a durable metal or ceramic core with a real wood inlay, sealed under a clear acrylic resin for strength and beauty.
Every Woodfox Ring is individually made by hand - assembled and finished with attention to detail. Most of the ring cores are made by special machines and tools due to their high density and hardness.
Contrary to bentwood rings, solid wood rings show the real beauty and diversity of any wood, because the angle of its fibers are different throughout the entire ring. This makes every solid wood ring truly unique and naturally beautiful.
Yes. There are smooth, faceted, and hammered finishes in certain materials, and all rings are also available with a brushed finish.
Absolutely. I can create matching or complementary rings using the same wood, style, or engraving.
Yes — our designs are unisex. Width, wood tone, and metal finish are all customizable for your style.
Wood Inlays
Yes — all wood used is real, sourced globally, and carefully selected for its color, grain, and character.
Raw wood is untreated, while stabilized wood is infused with resin, making it more durable and available in unique colors. But not all stabilized woods are colored.
No — the basic design has the wood sealed under a hard acrylic coating that protects it from moisture and wear. The Armored rings are only reinforced and not sealed with anything but they shouldn't crack or chip either.
Yes! We can design rings with multiple inlays of different woods. Let me know your vision.

No — black ceramic is solid throughout, and PVD coatings are extremely durable and fade-resistant.
Yes, but I don't recommend it. It's a special feeling to wear a simple wood ring, but they don't usually last long except if worn with care.
Durability & Care
Woodfox rings are built for everyday wear. The cores are highly scratch-resistant, and the wood is sealed in a hard, clear acrylic layer. The Armored rings don't have a coating on the wood inlay but they are only fitted with the most durable woods.
Yes — water, sweat, rain, and sunlight won’t damage your ring. Just avoid prolonged exposure to strong chemicals like acetone.
No — the acrylic coating is UV-stable and polishable. It stays crystal clear and won’t yellow like epoxy.
Avoid acetone, paint thinner, or other harsh solvents, as they may damage the coating. Remove your ring before painting or manicures.

Sizing
Get the sizer for a precise measurement at home, or you can visit me in Veresegyház for a free fitting. Other home tricks usually don't work. Jewelry stores are not accurate most of the time either.
