Box Elder, a species of maple, is native to North America and found predominantly in the United States and Canada. This fast-growing tree thrives in diverse environments, from riverbanks to urban areas, and is well-known for its resilience and adaptability.

Naturally, Box Elder wood is light-colored, often displaying cream or pale yellow tones with occasional streaks of pink or red due to fungal stains, creating a striking and unique appearance. When stabilized and dyed, Box Elder transforms into a vivid and durable material. The stabilization process involves infusing the wood with resin under pressure, significantly enhancing its strength and resistance to moisture. It's not scratch-resistant but it is very strong and made of lightweight stainless steel, so it's comfortable and you don't have to worry about wearing it every day.
